Caper Show begins its first virtual edition

The 2020 edition of Caper Show began in its virtual format for the first time on Monday 19, and will run until Friday, October 30, the activities are carried out live at two slot times a day: at 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Buenos Aires Time Zone.

The 29th edition of CAPER Show formally began with the words of Ricardo Solari, president of Caper welcoming everyone to the virtual edition. ‘This year we are faced with a great challenge, to hold our event in a purely virtual format. However, we work to achieve a program of high technical and academic level that we think and prepare specially to maintain the bond with our audience’.

After Solaris presentation, the first Round Table «Status and evolution of the ISDB-T standard and experiences in South America» ​​began with the participation of Luiz Fausto (Globo TV Network), Luis Silva Tapia (ex Chilevisión and Channel 13 of Chile) and Eduardo Bayo (Artear). The engineers spoke about their experiences in the implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television, discussing the future of the standard, the evolution towards the next generation of TDT system in the Broadcast Industry.

In the second panel of the day moderated by the Editor of Prensario Música, Alejo Smirnoff, with José “Chilitos” Valenzuela and Pichón Dal Pont, as speakers, reviewed their beginnings and evolution in the industry; speaking of their personal experiences in markets as different as Buenos Aires and Los Angeles, they finally focused on how the pandemic has affected workflows, and then ended with a round of questions asked by listeners
